In a close game at Porters Ballpark, the Lansing Red Storm edged the Dublin Porters, 5-4. Lansing catcher Justin Shaw stood apart with his performance. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Lansing goes to 40-79, Dublin to 72-46.
Lansing used a well-timed hit by Kiyotake Yoshihara to capture the win. The second baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Red Storm ahead, 5-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Both teams played hard," said Lansing manager GM TDen.
