Kings Win, 4-3, at St. Louis

Fans watched the Los Angeles Kings and the St. Louis Archies fight to the finish.
The Los Angeles Kings picked up a win at Team2 Ballpark, topping the St. Louis Archies, 4-3. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Steve Wilkerson. He played a principal role in the triumph. Wilkerson got the win, improving to 8-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Jim Davis earned the save for Los Angeles, his 30th of the year.
In the top of the first, Manny Barraza ambushed a 1-1 changeup from Jim Harrington and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Los Angeles a quick 2-0 lead.
"We had a good game plan," Wilkerson said, "and we were able to execute it."
Los Angeles is second in the Alliance League Dimwits Division with a record of 57-60.
