The Detroit Pizzas topped the Buffalo Buffalo, 6-4, in Alliance League action at Pizzas Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Detroit pitcher and Gimhae, South Korea, native Kwan-wuk Tae. Brad Riddick, who finished 4th in the AL in strikeouts with 285 in 2040, picked up the win in relief. Tim Ocampo took the loss for Buffalo. The first-place Pizzas have a record of 61-57.

Detroit took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Jose Caravaggio hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Pizzas fans to their feet.

"Kwan-wuk -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Pizzas manager Evan Compton. "He was the key to us winning."
