The Yellowstone Super Volcano got a strong performance from pitcher Jim Davis. Mad Hatter stymied the Hanoi offense en route to a solid, 4-2 win at The Nest. Davis picked up the win for Yellowstone, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 10-5. Picking up the save was Kurat Feyzioglu. He's now 35 for 38 in save chances.
Yellowstone used the bat of Andres Jaquez to get the win. The shortstop spanked a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Super Volcano ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.
"We're one win closer to our goal," Jaquez said in postgame remarks.
Yellowstone, at 74-43, occupies first place in the Alliance League Dimwits Division.
