Knights Beat Buffalo, 6-2
|
Setsujiro Takahashi left his imprint on the 6-2 Brooklyn win against the Buffalo Buffalo. Takahashi, who is tied for 7th in the AL in doubles with 31, was 3-4 with a triple and a double. He drove in 4 runs. Mike Rodriguez earned the win for Brooklyn. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing no runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 12-4. The win for the Knights raised their record to 77-40.
Brooklyn first baseman Dave Sykes contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 112nd hit of the season and put the Knights ahead, 2-0.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Takahashi told the Brooklyn Times.
