The Dublin Porters beat the Memphis Chicks, 4-1, at Porters Ballpark. Starting pitcher Greg Sebera was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Sebera, now 11-6, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Jesus Mendoza picked up the save for Dublin, his 1st of the year.

Jason Widel had a big 3-run home run for the Porters in the bottom of the third inning. With Dublin leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a curveball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Dan Elliott and punished it. The result was his 34th home run of the season, which put the Porters on top, 4-0.

"The vibe's good," said Dublin manager Hannah Porter. "We've got to keep it going."

The triumph puts Dublin at 62-54 for the season.
