Red Storm Lose at Home, 5-2, to Havana
|
2048 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Lansing Red Storm.
The Havana Sugar Kings knocked off the Lansing Red Storm, 5-2, in Alliance League action at Ballpark of Atlanta. Havana pitcher and Lincoln Park, Michigan, native John Hoover had an outstanding performance. At 55-60, Havana is in third place in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.
In the top of the seventh, Havana got a clutch hit from Cesar Lopez. The first baseman belted a 3-run home run, putting the Sugar Kings up, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a decisive one.
"We have a lot of confidence in John," said Havana manager The Baron.
