Dragon Warriors Upend Archies, 7-3
|
Getting a good performance from center fielder Tony Semitecolo, the Hanoi Dragon Warriors defeated the St. Louis Archies, 7-3. Semitecolo went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Dragon Warriors. The Dragon Warriors, at 52-63, sit in third place in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.
Hanoi used the bat of Josh Maris to capture the win. The third baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Dragon Warriors ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
Maris called the win "a team effort."
