Buffalo Earns 1-0 Win
|
In a low-scoring game between Buffalo and Arizona, pitcher Daniel Hernandez was excellent. The Buffalo right-hander helped his team knock off the Desert Storm, 1-0. Buffalo reliever Daniel Bojorquez was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Greg McDowell took the loss. Their 55-60 record puts the Buffalo third in the Alliance League Dimwits Division.
Buffalo needed the clutch hitting of Kevin Barriga to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Buffalo on top, 1-0. For the game, Barriga had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Barriga said.
