In a tight game between the Buffalo Buffalo and the Los Angeles Kings, pitcher Jimmy Miller was terrific on the mound. The Buffalo right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. The Buffalo improved their record to 23-24 with the win over Los Angeles.

Had Bobby Rigling not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Rigling hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Buffalo.

"The fact of the matter is that we had a shot to win," said losing manager Jim KP.
