The Dublin Porters got a stellar performance from pitcher Jim Steeb, who handcuffed the Osaka offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Porters Ballpark. In 7 innings, Steeb surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. With the win, Dublin raised its record to 27-19.
Dublin shortstop Pat Koerber helped the Porters go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Koerber hit a run-scoring single off Osaka pitcher Ben Bosley.
"Jim pitched like a champ," said Dublin manager Hannah Porter.
