Dragon Warriors Earn 7-3 Win Versus East Haddam
The Hanoi Dragon Warriors dumped the East Haddam Hyenas, 7-3, in large part due to right fielder Danny Laines. On the day, Laines went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Dragon Warriors. Hanoi goes to 29-17. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.

With Hanoi leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Laines hit a 2-run home run off East Haddam hurler Chris Newell. It was the 7th home run of the season for Laines and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Laines told the Hanoi Gazette. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
