Alex Alejo exploded for a barrage of base hits at Paradise Ballpark.

The Can Tho center fielder had a field day in his team's 10-5 triumph over the Long Beach Paradise, finishing 5-for-6.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Alejo must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Alex Alejo struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off David Neikirk in the 9th.

For the season, Alejo is hitting .327, batted in 36 runs with 2 home runs and 38 runs scored.
