Buffalo and Los Angeles duked it out and the Buffalo came out victorious.

The Buffalo Buffalo downed the Los Angeles Kings, 4-1, at The Greenhouse. Stellar pitching by Danny Staley had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the AL in complete games with 1, handcuffed his opponent all game. The save went to Randy Nelson, number 10 for him.

Staley was effective for Buffalo, seldom allowing the Kings to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 108 pitches over 8 innings. He limited Los Angeles to just 1 run on 4 hits.

"We didn't get too many good swings against Danny," said Los Angeles manager Jim KP.

Buffalo is now 22-24, Los Angeles 18-26.
