Blueberry Bulldogs Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Red Storm, 4-3
|
The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Lansing Red Storm at Bulldogs Ballpark. Sudbury pitcher George Wilson held his own in the contest. Wilson picked up the win for Sudbury, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. The Blueberry Bulldogs are now 21-24.
Josh Freeland, who finished 3rd in the FL in ERA with 3.92 in 2047, took Lansing hurler Jeff Pledger deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Blueberry Bulldogs on top, 4-2. In all, Freeland had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
