Porters Sunk by Takoyaki
|
The Osaka Takoyaki beat the Dublin Porters, 6-2. Osaka pitcher and Hampden, Maine, native Ben Bosley led the way. The winner was Bosley. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Ben Verville. The Takoyaki, now 16-28, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
Chris Ferraro had a big solo home run for the Takoyaki in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Osaka leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he sized up a splitter from Ben Verville, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2048 draft, and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Takoyaki on top, 4-2.
Ferraro attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
