Late Rally by Knights Secures 3-2 Win
The Brooklyn Knights faced a tough opponent in New York pitcher John Potter, but did just enough to pull out the victory at New York Grounds by a final score of 3-2. Potter went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Brooklyn reliever Derek Kimbrough picked up the win, while Adam Vaughn took the loss for New York. Ernie Woodard recorded the save for Brooklyn, his 11th of the season.

Brooklyn used a clutch hit from Tony Figueroa to get the win. The third baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Knights ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said New York skipper Jim tstols.

Brooklyn is now 27-17, 2 games up in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.
