Wayfinders Pin 4-3 Loss on Sudbury
|
The Waikiki Wayfinders overcame a pretty good performance by Sudbury second baseman Joe Seelye, beating the Blueberry Bulldogs, 4-3, at Ballpark of Honolulu. Seelye was 4-5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 times. Richard Arocha earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Picking up the save was Kelvin McCune, his 2nd.
The Wayfinders got a big at-bat from center fielder Luke Spradley. For the game, Spradley went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Waikiki a 4-2 lead.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Spradley.
Waikiki, with the win, is 3-1.
