Camarinho 5-for-8 Against Cobras
|
It was a sensational day at the plate for Silvério Camarinho as he led the charge to a nifty 5-3 win over the Cobras. The Galveston second baseman was pure misery for the Can Tho pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 8 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Camarinho put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Esteve Varanda, manager for the Cobras, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Silvério Camarinho flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th, grounded out in the 14th and singled in the 16th.
Camarinho is currently hitting at a .274 pace with no home runs and 4 RBIs.
