Portland Beavers starter Jason Scothorn pitched a strong game against the Arizona Desert Storm at Beavers Park, leading the Beavers to victory, 7-5. Portland reliever Juan Ibarra snagged the win, upping his record to 3-1. Kevin Spencer shouldered the loss. By defeating Arizona, the last-place Beavers improved to 18-23.
