Brooklyn 7-3 Losers to Super Volcano
|
Jack Frick, who finished 2nd in the AL in innings pitched with 231.2 last year, had a strong outing for the Yellowstone Super Volcano against the Brooklyn Knights at Volcano Ballpark. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. Frick got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 8 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 3 runs. With the win, Yellowstone has a record of 24-16. Brooklyn falls to 26-16.
The Knights had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Super Volcano going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old right fielder Josh George came to the plate. George hit a 2-run double on a 1-2 fastball from Brooklyn hurler Ray Totino. It was George's 5th double of the year.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said George.
