With designated hitter Jay Naylor leading the charge, the Detroit Pizzas defeated the Buffalo Buffalo, 4-1, at The Greenhouse. Naylor, who is a two-time All-Star, was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the win, Detroit upped its record to 23-19.

With Detroit leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Naylor hit a curveball from Daniel Bojorquez for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Pizzas ahead, 3-0.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Naylor.
