The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs faced a tough opponent in Kyiv pitcher Vince Collins, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Kyiv Grounds by a final score of 4-3. Collins went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. George Wilson was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Casey Burgess. Earning his 8th save of the year was Eric Barone.

Sudbury used a timely hit from Chris Edwards to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blueberry Bulldogs ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Edwards. "And not try to do too much."

The loss makes Kyiv 17-22.
