The Detroit Pizzas picked up a win at Pizzas Ballpark, knocking off the Kyiv Cossacks, 5-2. Starting pitcher Kwan-wuk Tae played a key role in the triumph. Detroit is now 19-21, Kyiv 23-17.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Jose Bautista didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Kyiv trailing 3-2, Bautista retired William Melnick to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Bautista, with a wink.
