Waikiki Beats East Haddam, 3-1
|
Behind an impressive start by Cameron Elson, Waikiki beat East Haddam, 3-1. Danny Dudley got the save, the 6th for him this season. The current losing streak for East Haddam has reached 4 games.
Waikiki used a well-timed hit by John Jones to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Wayfinders ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said East Haddam manager Joe Jankowski.
