The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs defeated the Dublin Porters, 6-5, at Porters Ballpark. Leading the charge for Sudbury was third baseman Michel Carvalho. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Sudbury raised its record to 24-15 with the win.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Steve Sanders? The 21-year old shortstop Sanders stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Sudbury up, 6-5. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 2 doubles and 1 single.
