Ressler Helps Pizzas Beat Beavers, 5-2
Detroit third baseman Adrian Ressler helped his team beat the Portland Beavers, 5-2. Ressler, who leads the AL in bases on balls with 22, went 3 for 3 for the Pizzas. Detroit pitcher Nate Spinks got the win, upping his record to 1-6. Miguel Romero got the loss. Detroit is now 21-18. Portland is 20-18.

Dylan Lucas, who leads the AL in triples with 1, took Portland hurler Miguel Romero deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Pizzas on top, 3-2. In all, Lucas had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Detroit manager Evan Compton.
