Porters Get Hard-Earned Win
|
The Dublin Porters had to overcome a good performance from Los Angeles pitcher Steve Wilkerson to claim a 2-1 win at Porters Ballpark. Wilkerson went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. Dublin reliever Tyrese Bunch picked up the win, while Earl Alexander took the loss for Los Angeles. Dublin has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
Pat Hamilton drew 2 walks in 4 trips to the plate for Dublin. With two out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Hamilton, who is tied for 4th in the FL in stolen bases with 18, had a clutch at-bat.
