Dublin Slaps 5-3 Loss on Yellowstone
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Porters beat the Super Volcano.
Dublin Porters starter Karl Gordam pitched a strong game against the Yellowstone Super Volcano at Porters Ballpark, leading the Porters to victory, 5-3. Gordam picked up the win for Dublin, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-4.
The Porters got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jason Widel. For the game, Widel was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 30th home run of the season gave Dublin a 5-3 lead.
Dublin manager Hannah Porter praised his team's "energy."
