Takoyaki Suffer Humbling Defeat
A good performance from left fielder Albert Bencomo helped the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs defeat the Osaka Takoyaki, 14-3. Bencomo was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs for the Blueberry Bulldogs. George Wilson got the win, improving to 11-9. He worked 7 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3. With the victory, the Blueberry Bulldogs record stands at 58-52.

Tied up with the Takoyaki in the top of the fifth inning, the Blueberry Bulldogs got a boost from first baseman Hugo Cabrera. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Cabrera saw a 0-1 fastball from Vicente Tejeda and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Sudbury on top, 4-3.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Cabrera told the Sudbury Chronicle.
