Wilmington Makes Yellowstone 5-3 Losers
|
Jeff Rabinowitz had a strong outing for the Wilmington Blue Rocks against the Yellowstone Super Volcano at Volcano Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Jon Chino finished to wrap up his 1st save. The win puts Wilmington at 3-1.
Matt Lamons had a big 2-run home run for the Blue Rocks in the top of the first inning. With Wilmington leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a splitter from Mike Martinez, who finished 2nd in the AL in ERA with 2.84 in 2051, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Blue Rocks on top, 3-0.
"I still think this team can play even better," Lamons told the Wilmington Herald.
