Sportsman's Park was the site of the home opener for the Los Angeles Kings. The contest featured a prime matchup between Art Madsen of the visiting Yellowstone Super Volcano and Larry Collier of the Kings. The final score was 6-1, the Super Volcano getting the win. Art Madsen turned in the best performance. Madsen picked up the win for Yellowstone, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0.
