The Detroit Pizzas downed the Lansing Red Storm, 6-5, the largest share of the credit belonging to second baseman Bob Lucas. On the day, Lucas went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 for the Pizzas. Detroit reliever Jesse Reitz snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Sergio Bahena shouldered the loss.
