The Lansing Red Storm beat the Kyiv Cossacks, 16-6, at Kyiv Grounds. The Red Storm got a fine performance from designated hitter Kiyotake Yoshihara, who slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 5. The third-place Cossacks have lost 7 consecutive games.

In the first inning, Yoshihara had a 2-run home run for Lansing. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Red Storm on top, 2-0.
