In a low-scoring contest between the Hanoi Dragon Warriors and the Los Angeles Kings, 28-year old right-handed pitcher Jon Gilson proved to be the difference. The Hanoi right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Dragon Warriors win. Gilson got the win, improving to 8-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Noah Powell earned his 31st save, after closing out the game.

Josh Sunday hit a 2-run home run off Kevin Feltes in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Dragon Warriors ahead, 3-1. In addition to the homer, Sunday had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"Jon had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Hanoi manager GM Schnee.
