Redondo Hammers 2 Homers in 6-4 Win
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Osaka Takoyaki and Waikiki Wayfinders.
The Osaka Takoyaki beat the Waikiki Wayfinders, 6-4, at Takoyaki Park. Osaka second baseman Juan Redondo had the hot bat. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Picking up the save was Eric Beasley, his 30th.
Redondo contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Osaka in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Redondo took a fastball from Chris Wilkoff and stroked the home run to left. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Takoyaki to leap in front, 3-2.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Redondo.
The win lifted the Osaka record to 57-52.
