Hits Galore: Alcala Drills 6 Hits
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Kyle Alcala -- a 6-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Russwood Park and paced the 16-1 Cossacks win over the Memphis Chicks.

After his dynamite batting performance, the Kyiv right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Kyle Alcala hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Andy Baum in the 9th.

In his season totals, Alcala has 28 home runs, .297 BA, .364 OBP, 93 RBIs and 82 runs scored. He has played in 105 games.
