Buffalo Deal Archies 8-3 Defeat
|
Though he had a stellar game, Brian Cifelli could not prevent his team, the St. Louis Archies, from losing, 8-3, to the Buffalo Buffalo. Cifelli was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Tim Ocampo earned the win for Buffalo. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 9-6. Getting the save was Mel Moncada, his 1st.
Buffalo used the hitting of Emilio Nin to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Buffalo on top, 6-0. For the game, Nin had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Good team win," Nin said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
Buffalo now owns a record of 51-54.
