Arizona Tumbles Again, Falls, 4-3, to Waikiki
|
Waikiki picked up a win at Desert Storm Stadium, bumping off the Arizona Scorpions, 4-3. Pitcher Chris Wilkoff was a major reason the Wayfinders emerged victorious. The winning pitcher was Wilkoff, now 5-4. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Tim Pettit got credit for the save for Waikiki. It was his 22nd of the year.
Cody Myers had a direct impact on the outcome. Myers contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Waikiki up, 4-1.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Wayfinders manager GM Yokotuna.
This win makes it 7 in a row for Waikiki.
