Cossacks Earn Late 7-6 Win
Behind the hitting of Chris Nicotra, the Kyiv Cossacks defeated the Dublin Porters, 7-6. Nicotra went 3 for 7 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Cossacks. Kyiv pitcher Travis Provenza got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Omari Johnson got the loss. Kyiv is now 21-16, while Dublin is 24-13.

The decisive blow was delivered by Eddie Tramacchi in the bottom of the 18th when he hit a run-scoring double off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Omari Johnson to win the game for Kyiv. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Nicotra told the Kyiv Observer.
