Knights Earn Late Win
|
The Brooklyn Knights withstood an impressive performance by Hanoi left fielder Ronnie Viverette to defeat the Dragon Warriors, 6-5, at Brooklyn Coliseum. Viverette was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Justin Gray in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Amari Smith took the loss. After today's action, Brooklyn sits at 23-14; Hanoi slips to 18-18.
Kenichi Kanzaki was the walk-off hero for Brooklyn. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Knights left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"He who laughs last laughs best," Kanzaki said, postgame.
