Neufeld Homers Twice in 5-4 Sugar Kings Win
|
The umbrellas came out during the Havana-Detroit contest at Pizzas Ballpark.
Havana beat Detroit at Pizzas Ballpark, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to second baseman Andy Neufeld. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Picking up the save was 31-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Figueroa.
Tony Anaya, who is tied for 2nd in the AL in bases on balls with 22, helped out the Havana cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
Anaya told a Havana Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
After today's action, Havana sits at 15-21; Detroit slips to 17-19.
