The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs had to overcome a good performance from Brooklyn pitcher Luis Lezama to claim a 2-1 win at Bulldogs Ballpark. Lezama went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Justin Roeber earned the save, his 6th, for the Blueberry Bulldogs. Sudbury is now 21-14, Brooklyn 11-24.

The Knights had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Blueberry Bulldogs going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the three-time All-Star Michel Carvalho came to the plate. Carvalho hit a solo home run on a first pitch fastball from Brooklyn hurler Luis Lezama. It was Carvalho's 5th home run of the year.
