The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs went home winners at Bulldogs Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Josh Freeland. Freeland stifled the Brooklyn Knights, enabling Sudbury to grab the 6-1 win. With the win, Sudbury raised its record to 20-14.

Ryan DiFranco had a big grand slam home run for the Blueberry Bulldogs in the bottom of the second inning. With Sudbury leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher John Whyte and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Blueberry Bulldogs on top, 5-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," DiFranco told the Sudbury Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
