Kings Need Extra Innings to Top Cossacks, 4-1
|
The Los Angeles Kings picked up a win at Kyiv Grounds, knocking off the Kyiv Cossacks, 4-1. Starting pitcher Alex Watkins was a big reason why. Jeremy Valentine nailed down his 1st save. The loss makes Kyiv 20-14.
Los Angeles starter Alex Watkins was exceptional. The 6-foot-0 right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 8.2 innings of work.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Los Angeles manager Jim KP. "It's usually not just one thing."
