Kinsale Shuts Out Reno, 3-0
|
Kinsale hurler Eddie Lomeli put on quite a show, as he blitzed the Reno Copper Kings with a 3-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 2 hits with 4 strikeouts and no walks to pick up the win.
"I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball," Reno manager Kyle Chitwood told reporters after the game.
To date, Lomeli has a 8-4 mark in 17 starts with a 3.01 ERA. He has given up 99 hits in 107.2 innings, struck out 68 and issued 47 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .245 batting average against him.
