Yellowstone Drops Another One, 4-2
|
Havana Sugar Kings starter Eric McKinney turned in an exceptional performance against the Yellowstone Super Volcano at Sugardome II, resulting in a Havana win, 4-2. The winning pitcher was McKinney, now 3-3. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. Kurat Feyzioglu closed the door for Havana, picking up his 11th save of the year.
Matt Freese had a big 3-run home run for the Sugar Kings in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Havana leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Jack Frick, who is tied for 9th in the AL in innings pitched with 45.1, and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sugar Kings ahead, 4-0.
"Different night, same tune, unfortunately," said losing manager GM AtticaOnline.
Yellowstone has now lost 7 in a row.
