2052 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Yellowstone Super Volcano.

The Detroit Pizzas topped the Yellowstone Super Volcano, 14-3, with second baseman Jonathan Loa playing a big role. Loa went 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Pizzas in the win. The win went to Cody Waller in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Nate Spinks took the loss.

Detroit got a big at-bat from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico native Mario Hernandez, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a 3-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Pizzas ahead, 12-2.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Hernandez.

The first-place Pizzas, at 59-42, now lead their division by 8 games.
