Chicks Win Nail-Biter in 10

It was pandemonium at Russwood Park after an exciting walk-off win.
The Memphis Chicks racked up a win at Russwood Park, bumping off the Kyiv Cossacks, 4-3, in 10 innings. Billy Roland, who started for Memphis, pitched effectively for his team. The win was credited to Daniel Forsyth in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Evan King took the loss.
The Chicks relied on left fielder Mike Hernandez for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"It was a test of wills," said John Griffin, the Memphis skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
The Chicks, at 45-56, sit in third place in the Federation League Birdbrains Division.
