The Brooklyn Knights got a sterling performance from designated hitter Silvio Veldhoven, but the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs still prevailed, 9-7. Veldhoven went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Sudbury reliever Brett Richardson snagged the win, upping his record to 3-6. John MacMullen shouldered the loss. The Blueberry Bulldogs move to 47-52 with the win, while the Knights drop to 48-51.

Jacob Jeffries cracked a home run off John MacMullen in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run blast put the Blueberry Bulldogs on top, 9-7. In all, Jeffries had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"It feels good to get this one," Jeffries told the Sudbury Daily News.
