Arizona left fielder Ben Potgeter was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Brooklyn beat the Desert Storm, 8-6. The 58-42 Knights have won 11 games in a row.

Silvio Veldhoven, who is tied for 10th in the AL in extra base hits with 38, took Arizona hurler Terry Donohue deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Knights on top, 3-0. In all, Veldhoven had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Brooklyn manager Enoch Tang.
