The Kyiv Cossacks converted a terrific effort from starter Billy Roland into a win over the Osaka Takoyaki at Kyiv Grounds. The Cossacks won the game by a final score of 3-2. Roland, now 4-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 10, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. With the loss, Osaka drops to 12-19.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Cossacks had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when catcher Jorge Hernandez hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Matt Schille and made the score 3-0, Cossacks. Hernandez went 1 for 3.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Hernandez told the Kyiv Observer.
